Our Taste of the Gibb River Road Fri 3rd August
We never intended to take the caravan along the Gibb River Road, but we decided we'd have to "do" a section of this famous highway. We left the caravan at Parry Creek Farm caravan park and set off for El Questro ... turn left after about 30km of (unsealed) Gibb River Road and travel a further 20km of dirt road.
We took a "self drive" (electric powered) tinny on the Chamberlain River up Chamberlain Gorge. A very peaceful experience.
We returned to Parry Creek Farm via Emma Gorge.
We will also go into the Gibb River Road from the western end for a trip to Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek. We are taking a tour, with Windjana Tours, on Sunday 12th August.
